Abundance Mindset: Add Foods In to Eat Healthier

Take This Small Step to Make Big Changes in Your Nutrition

Changing how you eat can feel daunting. Everywhere you look there are long lists of do’s and don’ts when it comes to diet. Very quickly it can feel overwhelming and impossible. Rather than creating complicated meal plans and restrictive lists, consider trying a different approach.

Add in 3 vegetables and 3 fruits to your weekly meal plan.

That’s right, add foods into your diet. It’s that simple. Pick three fruits and three veggies that you enjoy, and find ways to incorporate them into your current diet.

For example, if you enjoy eating snacks between meals that’s great, grab a banana and eat it before diving into the candy bag. Then, if you feel you still need something more, have some candy. Do you enjoy the juicy burst of flavor that comes from biting into a cherry tomato? Wonderful! Pack yourself a small container of cherry tomatoes to munch on when you feel the pangs of afternoon snack time hunger kick in. Likely, you’ll find you eat less of the processed foods since you’ve already filled up on your favorite fruits and veggies.

In addition to adding fruit and veggie snacks, try adding them to your meal times. Want to make that easy frozen pizza for dinner? Add some broccoli and peppers to the top.

By adding in rather than taking away, we feel an abundance rather than feeling deprived. It allows us to develop a positive association with healthy foods. Over time, people find themselves naturally reaching for healthier alternatives.

Next time you think about embarking on a new diet plan, consider trying this simple trick to effortlessly shift your eating habits to include more fruits and veggies each day.
